Indonesia Outdoor Tennis Court Lighting Case | LED Stadium Lights

Introduction to the Tennis Court Lighting Project

Outdoor tennis court lighting faces unique and harsh environmental challenges year-round. High temperatures, heavy rainfall, strong tropical winds, high humidity, and coastal salt spray can quickly damage ordinary lighting systems, leading to unstable brightness, uneven illumination, glare issues, rust, water ingress, and frequent maintenance.
For tennis matches, substandard lighting directly affects visibility, ball tracking, and player safety. Without high‑performance, weatherproof, and low‑glare lighting solutions, courts cannot meet competition standards or provide a safe, high‑quality experience for athletes.
This is why choosing the best stadium lighting options for tennis courts becomes critical for long‑term reliability and professional performance.

This outdoor tennis court project is located in Indonesia. The standard court size is 21 meters × 36 meters, with a basic lighting layout of four 6-meter-high light poles. After the tennis court was completed, lighting had not yet been installed. The person in charge of the tennis court contacted us, hoping that we could provide a lighting plan. Their idea about the tennis court lighting was: 'Recommend some of the best fixtures (highest brightness, minimal glare)? I want to use the highest quality fixtures and make the best configuration to achieve the best stadium lighting effect for professional tennis matches.'

We combined the court size, tennis court pole height, and the lighting requirements of the tennis court manager to create a lighting simulation diagram. We adopted a four-pole lighting method on both sides, using 16 court floodlights of 300 watts each, installed on both sides, providing high-brightness, glare-free professional-level match lighting, offering the best stadium lighting options for tennis courts.

Achieving the Best Stadium Lighting Options for Tennis Courts

The stadium light post height is 6 meters, with strict requirements for the light fixture's projection angle and light control capability. To achieve the best stadium lighting solution for a tennis court, it is necessary to consider the dimensions of the outdoor tennis court (21 meters x 36 meters). Using the L2106300 model 300W court lights with 6-meter high poles. The 300W LED stadium lights, arranged in a four-corner tower layout, with 4 stadium lights installed on one pole, 2 poles on one side with 8 court lights, a total of 16 court lights installed on the tennis court. Considering the area of the tennis court, 300W LED provides sufficient & even brightness for the 21m×36m court.

Combining the size of the court and the overall layout, a four-pole layout method is used for Dialux lighting simulation to ensure there are no dark spots, no glare, and no blinding during the lighting process, making it the best stadium lighting options for tennis courts.

Challenges and Requirements for Installing Outdoor Stadium Lighting Equipment in Indonesia

Harsh Tropical Climate

Indonesia has a hot, humid climate throughout the year with frequent heavy rains, and coastal areas have moist air. Ordinary lighting fixtures are prone to water ingress, rust, circuit aging, and rapid light decay, leading to frequent maintenance work.

In areas exposed to high temperatures and strong sunlight for long periods, court lights need to have the ability to withstand high temperatures.Outdoor strong convective wind weather requires high stability of light structure.

Strict Professional Competition Lighting Standards

Tennis matches require uniform illumination, accurate color rendering, strict glare control, and soft lighting. The best stadium lighting options for tennis courts need to meet this set of requirements.
