LED Linear High Bay Light fixtures are used to illuminate large indoor spaces with high ceilings (typically 15 to 45 feet above the floor). The large space between the ceiling and the floor requires linear high bay light fixtures to provide a high lumen output, and the light needs to be focused downward and outward from the fixture. Unlike other round or “bell-shaped” high bay fixtures, linear high bay fixtures are typically rectangular in shape. They can be mounted directly to the ceiling or suspended by chains or cables.
When choosing led linear high bay light, it is important to consider the size of the area to be illuminated, the environmental conditions (e.g. waterproof and dustproof ratings), and the brightness requirements, which will help you get the most appropriate lighting solution and ensure the perfect balance of lighting effectiveness and energy efficiency.
Factors to consider when purchasing led linear high bay light
Depending on your purpose, you will need lights of different wattages:
With excellent energy efficiency, long life and high durability, led linear high bay light is ideal for lighting large spaces, especially for industrial and commercial locations. These luminaires not only significantly reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, but also provide reliable illumination in extreme environments. led linear high bay light instantly illuminates and supports dimming functions, providing a flexible lighting solution that requires no warm-up time and ensures that you get the brightness you need whenever you need it.
Compared with traditional metal halide lamps and high pressure sodium lamps, led linear high bay light is more environmentally friendly, with no release of hazardous substances, and provides a variety of color temperature options, which can present a more natural light effect and enhance the visual comfort of the space.
In addition, led linear high bay light has IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating, which makes it able to operate stably in humid, dusty or harsh environments, especially suitable for warehouses, factories, workshops and other places that need extra protection.

LED Linear High Bay Shop Lights
This product is the basic model of Linear High Bay, with up to 150LM/W brightness efficiency and 45,000 lumens output, suitable for factories, warehouses and stores, etc. 5000K color temperature provides clear and comfortable illumination, and the intelligent fin design enhances heat dissipation and prolongs the life of the fixtures. IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating ensures stable operation in harsh environments, and supports 1-10V dimming for more flexible operation. The IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating ensures stable operation in harsh environments and supports 1-10V dimming for greater flexibility and convenience.
This basic model also comes with a PIR sensor interface, PIR sensor and dimmer support separate purchase, if the sensor is not a high demand for direct purchase of the basic model will be more cost-effective.
Linear High Bay Shop Lights with PIR Sensor
This kit comes with a PIR sensor, and the base model is sold with the sensor. With the PIR sensor installed, the lights can automatically adjust the brightness when someone is moving around to maximize energy savings.
Easy Installation
LED linear high bay lights require hardwiring installation, which will be simple if you have experience with electrician related wiring operations. However, if you are completely inexperienced in electrical work, it is best to find a professional electrician to help with the installation, which will also ensure greater safety.
User Experiences
LED Linear High Bay Shop Lights - 210W 1PACK :
“I can’t speak to the dimensions of the other sizes available here, but the 210W version is 10 inches x 2 ft. (actually looking at another review of the 130W, it shows a similar 10 inches x 1.5 (vs 2) ft). When first turned on, it seems to pull closer to 220W, but settles into the 210 within a few minutes.
I’ve had really good luck with JC-LGL products and this one is no different. There is no flicker (when viewed with a high speed camera - which is great for rotating tools like a lathe). Some lights have a flickering strobing effect that will make rotating parts look like they are moving backwards or not moving at all - similar to the effect of the car rim next to you spinning backwards as they drive down the road, or a “dance party” effect). Either way, this light doesn’t do that.
It is a very bright light (similar to the UFO style intensity) It’s not super enclosed on the top, so I’m a little worried about mice and spiders and wasps and such. It is designed for a hardwired system, however I just wired mine to an old extension cord end with some marrettes (wire-nuts) and electrical tape. The wires don’t have any strain relief coming out of the unit, and instead just relies on some rubber to keep the wires from cutting. It claims it is good for 240V installations as well, but I just wired mine at 110V..
The height adjustment system is really slick once you figure out how to use it. It easily adjusts both up and down. I unscrewed one the first time to lower it, and that’s not needed at all. It is dimmable with a 0-10V DC power supply, or by using a variable resistor (resistor is a hack method since the dimming wires do have a slight power to them). They wired it to a “headphone” jack style plug on the underside of the light - which is an odd choice since that means running wires under there. Thankfully the wires can easily be cut and hard wired in from above if you were using the dimming feature.
The last thing I can note, is in both before/after images I locked the focus/light balance settings on my phone. I also tried to get it to be somewhat representative of what it looks like in real life, however the one definitely undersells it. I left a small 10W magnetic task/work light on to show some comparison. There was also already some ambient lighting, but the shop is generally pretty dark.”
