Incredible brightness

If you need an area or workspace to be as bright as possible, you need to get this lantern style led light! The brightness it gives is like a having barnyard light anywhere you use it. I like the fact that it has a long extension cord so you hang it or place it some distance away from the outlet. It has a 3 prong cord, so you''ll need an outlet for that. Highly recommend this Led work light!

Pretty good

This light is really helpful. It stands about 12' tall when it's on the ground. The lights are all LED, so I'm not worried at all about them burning out or needing to replace them. It's competently constructed, made out of good materials and is nice and sturdy. No rattles when you shake it or anything. I'm not extremely familiar with the lumin measurement of light, so the way I'd describe how bright this thing is is 'way super bright.' The first time my son saw it he said he was impressed I was able to contain a piece of the sun. I hang this light in my workshop at night and it lights it up like daytime. There is a plug in the top that is for chaining multiple lamps together. I only have one of them so I haven't used this feature. After being on for an hour or so I checked it for heat. It was warm but not dangerously hot. I was surprised how not hot it was considering how bright this light is.There is no on/off switch for this, which is kind of weird. It's on when it's plugged in, and it's off when it's unplugged. There is no dimmer mechanism, there is only one brightness level. The handle on the top makes it easy to carry. There is a carabiner-style mechanism to securely attach it to a hook or eyelet. It doesn't come with any type of hook to suspend it from a rafter or ledge. I've got an eyelet screwed into my ceiling that I hang it from. It also does really well just sitting on the floor.

Temporary Work Lights

This light is as simple as it gets. You plug it in and it lights up the entire world. Lol. It is unbelievably bright. You can buy multiple and plug them into each other to light up a work site. The hook on the top works well. I’ve taken it camping several times and my only issue has been that it’s too bright. This will definitely light up any area you need, but it’s small enough not to take up a lot of space. Plus, the mesh on the outside of the lights keeps them safe so it’s super durable. It’s also great in that LED doesn’t get hot, so it makes it super easy to deal with.

Brighter than I thought it would be.

I bought the 250 Watt version of this light and it is much brighter than I expected to be. I've run it for about 10 hours with no issues. I also put it about 20 feet up in a tree to see how well it would light an area for camping and it lights my entire back yard. I would say it is overkill for camping. Depending on the campground layout you would definitely be providing light to the surrounding sites. The picture makes it look a little brighter than it is to the naked eye, but it still illuminated the back of my house with a light that was bright enough for me to read a book from about 80 feet away. Definitely glad I bought this light.

Wow!

Incredible light. Currently being used in my shed. I used to have solar lights in there, never gave enough light to actually be able to work in there. This light is so bright that it feels like day time.

100% recommend this light.

It also has a plug on it, I'm assuming so that for larger areas you can daisy chain these things together. But that would be overkill for my purposes.

Bright Work Light

The JC-LGL work light features 60W, LED daylight white lighting that provides excellent coverage in an open setting.Purchased to use in a 2 car, open garage, this light covered the room easily. When used with normal indoor lighting, the work are was lit well providing illumination where there are normally shadows. The top of the work light includes a spring handle for easy hanging or carrying/moving around as needed. The attached 10 foot power cord gives plenty of room for adjustments as needed. Additionally, there is an outlet on the top of the light near the handle that allows for other lights to be daisy chained to the light. The only negative I found was that there is no on/off switch. The light turns on when plugged in and off when the plug is disconnected. I could easily see this being an issue when power is disconnected, lighting strikes, or other electrical issues as nothing is grounded.Overall, this is a very good and sturdy work light. The protective frame prevents accidental damage to the LED lights. The brightness is as described, and is made of quality materials. The price is relative to other alternatives on the market in this lighting range.

Lots of LEDs in a tough package

This work light is a great combination of lots of LEDs, in a case that seems like it can withstand a drop or two. It comes with an extension plug to daisy-chain more lights—or perhaps other things that need power—which can definitely come in handy. The LEDs are very bright and wrap all the way around the unit. Along with the sturdy handle/hook on top, it makes an excellent hung work light. It does not feel cheaply made, so I'd imagine it will last a while if the LEDs themselves can hold out.The reason I rated this four stars, though, is that there is no on/off button. This makes it difficult to leave plugged-in, unless the plug itself is on a switch, which isn't always the case or possible. Otherwise, it's a sturdy and very bright work light.

This thing is the Sun

This is a really nice worklight.Packaging:It's packed to survive a plane crash. Super thick foam, heavy duty box, this thing will get to where it's going.Setup:Hang it up, plug it in.Use:This will leave sunspots that stick with you for a bit. It lights the room easily, and you expect at any moment that you will suddenly catch fire or it's going to collapse into a black hole, and either way at least your project is done. Conclusion:I'm really excited to try this out working on my Jeep outside at night. As a tree shade mechanic those shadows get deep at about 10 pm. My only complaint is there is no way to dim the light, and I think, as bright as this is, a low/medium/high toggle would have been nice, especially for the price. But work lights have a tradition of being on/off only, so I'm not docking any stars for that. This is a really good work light if you want a lantern-style light.

Well Constructed ULTRA BRIGHT Light

This work light is definitely daylight bright! I'm impressed. It has a nice 10 ft. long heavy cord w/a grounded plug and the unit is very well constructed and solid. It's not flimsy at all. The top handle has a clip spring for hanging and the bottom of the light illuminates as well. The surrounding cage keeps the bottom raised so it can also be placed on a flat surface. There is a sliding piece that moves up to reveal a 3 prong outlet that's intended for connecting another light if desired. As for any negatives or concerns that one may have, I didn't find any on/off switch. Once you plug it in, it illuminates. Perhaps that's not a bad thing if you have this hanging high overhead. Maybe have it connected to on on/off outlet in those situations. As for the extra plug-in near the top, the single sided sheet of instructions noted the customer could connect a series of these power lights (of same power) up to a max of 10. It didn't specifically caution, support, or advise against using the extra plug-in for anything else. This light is so bright that one unit alone would be sufficient for most projects, unless you needed to use it in a warehouse or for a outdoor night project to illuminate a very large area. For those situations, then yes, a few of these daisy chained and spaced apart with their 10 ft. cords will definitely light up a very large space. For a light this size that's not so big and bulky it certainly is one very powerful bright light!

Very bright light!

I really wanted to rate this light five stars because it is pretty awesome! But I ended up rating it four stars because it lacks an on/off switch. While the description mentions that it's “plug and play a couple of times, it doesn't make it perfectly clear that there is no power switch. This makes it slightly less convenient.Other than that, I love everything about it. I got the 60 watt version to light up my grilling area and it basically makes it look like daylight. Not only does it direct the light outwards, it also has lights on the bottom that point down, so it lights up the entire area. The handle on the top is also like a carabiner, so it's easy to hook it on almost anything, like a tree branch, or a cable, or under the hood of a car.The extra plug on the side is also convenient in case you want to daisy chain several lights together or power another piece of equipment.

Bright, Durable, but Missing a Switch

We recently acquired the JC-LGL LED Temporary Work Light, and we've got to say, we're pretty impressed with its build quality. The 10-foot high-quality power cord and sturdy stainless steel cage are designed to withstand minor drops and bumps. The plastic feels more durable than we've seen in similar lights, and the handle is comfortably sized for easy carrying even with larger hands. However, we did have some concerns. The top clip's spring seems a bit flimsy, limiting the hanging options due to its small opening. Also, the extra outlet's protective cover could be better in quality, but it's manageable with care. A standout feature is the ability to daisy-chain these lights, expanding lighting setups easily, or plugging in alternative products. Our main disappointment? The lack of an on/off switch. Having to plug in or unplug to operate isn't ideal. We understand the lack of a switch especially in hard-to-reach setups. But, lower area use requires an on/off switch without question. The light's intensity is another double-edged sword. It's incredibly bright, great for overhead lighting in construction or workshop environments, but almost too powerful for close-range work without a shroud to soften the glare.Despite these drawbacks, we're thrilled with this light's performance for most of our needs. It's a fantastic addition to our lighting arsenal, offering brilliant illumination for a wide range of projects, particularly where strong overhead light is crucial. Just be prepared for its intensity and plan your setup accordingly.

Bright as the Sun

The brightness of this light should not be underestimated!
Being used in a construction environment where it is the only source of light. For that application it is impressive. You can't look directly at it or you'll be blind for a day, so having it hanging up high is key.

Ideally this would have an on/off switch rather than having to plug/unplug. Also a shroud/diffuser around the face would be nice to reduce blinding, but ultimately this light does the job with serious brightness.
