JC-LGL LED Loading Dock Lights 60W With Swing Arm, A1 Round Series

I was in need of a bright adjustable light for my workshop in the garage. This product is perfect. The light is well made, durable, simple to install, and made to withstand a beating. The light is super bright and I am happy to be able to adjust the beam by moving the arm around.

As I get older and my eyes get worse, I need more focused light on my woodturning projects. The problem is, every project can be a vastly different size with various contours, so I need a light that can be moved around. My previous light had a flexible neck, and I cobbled together a setup that also allowed the base to hinge, but I could never get the light to shine just right. The weight of the light was also too much for the flex shaft.I decided to try this warehouse light from YXL. The frame is very heavy duty and feels like a tank. There are enough articulations to cover my needs. I can shine it however I need to for my projects.I don't know that this light would be appropriate for a warehouse or in a situation where it needed to be hung up high, but it is great as a task light.The only complaint I have, which is also due to my particular use, is the knobs by the light itself work loose. When making bowls especially, I'm constantly moving the light around, so they loosen up after a while. I will need to install nylon nuts to mitigate this issue.Overall, I'm very happy with this light fixture.

This loading dock light is industrial and sturdy. This light is extremely easy to assemble as it comes in only two pieces. It's a bit odd that wall mounting hardware isn't included but perhaps that's because of the variety of wall mounting situations. The arm is too tight so you'll need to loosen the bolts so that you can easily articulate the arm. The switch on the back of the light and the easy plug for a wall outlet make setting up and using it are extremely easy and intuitive. This light is reasonably bright and the articulating arm makes it rather simple to position it as needed quickly. This is a fantastic value light.

I ordered this lamp to go in my garage. I have a two-car garage with a man door between the two cars. I mounted this lamp on the door frame so it is positioned between the cars. From that location it is perfect to shine under the hoods of either car. The light from this lamp can also reach not only any location in the garage, but can be pointed to illuminate the patio through the man door or the driveway through the roll-up door. This lamp is really heavy duty. It is solidly built. It has a guard over the lamp so the glass cannot easily be broken and keeps flammables away from the potentially hot lamp. The pivot bolts arrive tightly immensely tight so that the arms do not move freely. You will need to loosen the pivot bolts to move the arms freely. Other than that one minor thing, this lamp is perfect. Five stars.

I mounted the arm to my teardrop pallet rack upright using (2) National catalog model No. 2192BC square U bolts. That is 3/8 x 3'' x 7'' and fit perfectly around the upright and into the holes on the mounting plates.

A few minor issues:
The button on the light is a metal push button located on the back heatsink of the light. You have to hold the hot light to turn on and off. I do not like that you have to hold what is basically the heatsink of the light to be able to press the button. In addition, the light is mounted high so a remote inline switch would be preferred and I plan to implement that.

The second issue is the gimble that holds the light is held on with a knob that allows you to swivel the gimble. There is one nylon washer included for this joint and no matter where you put it, rotating the lamp will untighten the knob holding it all together. I''m going to try adding a few additional washers, silicone lube and if that does not work I may end up locktighting the knobs.

The whole arm is pretty stiff as it comes preassembled. I prefer it that way so it stays put but it does take some force to move it. You could put a drop of silicone on the washers or loosen the bolts a little.

The good stuff:
It is very stable and very bright.
There are many ways that you can bolt it together if you want the joints to be able to flex perpendicular to the way the factory put it together.
You could easily mount a second light on the mast.

They used it to point into shipping trailers that backed up to the dock to help them see inside the trailer to load or unload. Then I thought, this would be perfect to use at the entrance of my 40 foot x 8 foot shipping container that I use for my plumbing and electrical supplies (i.e. my private hardware store). I jumped at the chance and ordered and am so very glad that I did. This lamp is very bright for only 30 watts. The arm adjusts very easily and does a good job of being able to direct light to where I need it to be when I'm looking for supplies. Great quality, great value, great product! This dock light is two things: bright and heavy duty. Once mounted, the arm is able to move pretty freely, but not loosely. Once in position, it tends to stay there. The light itself is very bright and has decent heat dissipation as well. The arm is quite heavy, so the mount pint will have to be something that cannot be easily toppled or preferable is permanently fixed to the ground. The power button is on the light itself, so you will want to keep that in mind when mounting it. Also, while the light does have incredible range of motion on a horizontal axis, it does not move vertically so that may need to be considered when selecting a mount point. The can be pointed up and down/left and right, but there isn't a way to change the angle of approach. Overall this is an amazing light.

For a large loading dock area I'm not sure it's going to be enough light to fully light the space up, but you'd probably want more than just this one for that use anyways. Plus for smaller spaces too much light is as big a problem as not enough light, and to me this is perfect for home or small spaces in an industrial setting. Durability wise it's great and would be fine being subject to a router industrial use, and for my home garage use it will probably last the rest of my life. At the price it's offered to get something this sturdy is surprising and I'd highly recommend it.

There is no doubt that it is sturdy enough for industrial use and this light provides a lot of illumination.The unit does not come with mounting hardware - but is easily mounted for a variety of walls or poles depending upon your specific application. I enjoy how the spotlight can be easily articulated in such a way that it will light up whatever area you are working with.
